Wagyu Top Sirloin Steak and Pinot Noir
GlenLyon obtained this exquisite fruit from Parmelee-Hill Vineyard in the Sonoma Coast AVA. The palate is invigorated by Bing cherry, cranberry, and rhubarb pie flavors, complemented by vibrant acidity and a crisp finish. Aged in 30% new French oak, this bright Pinot is ideal for daily enjoyment; it is light but is also exceptionally fruit-forward and flavor-rich.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Light to medium ruby with a slight translucence, indicative of a bright and youthful Pinot Noir.
Nose: Expressive and fruit-driven, featuring ripe Bing cherry and cranberry, with hints of fresh rhubarb, subtle baking spices, and a touch of earthiness. The oak aging contributes light vanilla and toasted cedar undertones.
Palate: Juicy and vibrant, the cranberry and cherry notes lead, offering a tart and refreshing profile. The rhubarb pie essence adds a slight savory-sweet complexity, balanced by the wine’s natural acidity. The 30% new French oak lends delicate structure, enhancing the wine’s roundness without overshadowing its fruit purity.
Texture & Finish: Silky and elegant, with a crisp and lively finish. The acidity keeps the wine fresh, making it an excellent food companion.
