The Hoge and Hampton Heritage Dawg (Triple H) is a mouthwatering creation featuring a Back Creek Wagyu hotdog topped with Buffalo mayo, green tomato and pepper jam, hearty chili, and crispy fried slaw, all nestled in a buttery toasted hoagie roll. This elevated hotdog is a tribute to heritage and bold flavors, perfect for indulgent food lovers.
Ingredients:
Buffalo Mayo
1 tbsp Duke’s mayonnaise
1 tsp Frank’s Buffalo sauce
Green Tomato and Pepper Jam
(Store-bought pepper jam works great!)Fried Slaw
1 cup finely chopped cabbage
1/4 cup diced red onion
1 tbsp butter
Ranch dressing (for tossing)
Bun and Hot Dog
1/2 hoagie roll, gently toasted with butter or oil
1 genuine Back Creek 100% Wagyu Beef Hotdog
Instructions:
Prepare Buffalo Mayo:
In a small bowl, mix together Duke’s mayonnaise and Frank’s Buffalo sauce. Set aside.Cook the Fried Slaw:
Heat a pan over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp of butter.
Add chopped cabbage and diced red onion. Sauté until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove from heat and toss with a small amount of ranch dressing to coat lightly.
Toast the Bun:
Gently toast the hoagie roll with butter or oil until golden brown.
Cook the Hot Dog:
Cook the Back Creek Wagyu hotdog to your preferred method (grill, pan-fry, or boil).
Assemble the Dawg:
Spread Buffalo mayo on the toasted bun.
Add 1 tbsp of green tomato and pepper jam.
Place the hot dog in the bun.
Top with a generous helping of chili.
Pile on the fried slaw.
Garnish with a squirt of Buffalo mayo.
